Юрий Визбор (1934–1984) was a Soviet singer-songwriter, poet, film actor, writer, and journalist. Born in the USSR, he became one of the founders of the art song genre. He composed over 300 songs, including such well-known works as "Милая моя" and "Серёжка ольховая" Юрий Визбор also developed a unique genre of "song-reportage," which combined musical art with journalism. A member of the Union of Journalists and the Union of Composers of the USSR, he made a significant contribution to the development of Russian art song, leaving an indelible mark on the culture of his time.
