На этом свете нет чудес,

Хотя поверий груда.

Стоит плотина до небес,

Но это ведь не чудо.

Я по ледовым гребням лез,

Я знаю слов значенье.

На этом свете нет чудес —

Одно лишь исключенье.

Никем не узнан, не любим,

Сомненьями богатый,

Я жил смотрителем лавин

И сторожем заката.

Стояли горы у дверей,

Зажав долины-блюда,

Как совещание зверей,

И звери ждали чуда.

А чудо вышло на порог,

Зажмурилось от снега.

А чудо сделало снежок

И запустило в небо.

Снежок распался на снежки…

И тот рисунок школьный

От звезд отламывал куски,

И было больно-больно.

А чудо, весело смеясь,

Конфеточку сосало,

Толкало в пропасти меня,

Но в пропасть не бросало.

Снега ударили с небес,

Мир задрожал от гуда.

На этом свете нет чудес —

Одно лишь, в общем, чудо!

There are no miracles in this world

Although there is a lot of belief.

The dam stands up to heaven,

But it's not a miracle.

I climbed the ice ridges,

I know the meaning of words.

Just one exception.

Not recognized by anyone, not loved,

Rich in doubt

I lived as an avalanche keeper

And the watchman of the sunset.

Mountains stood at the door,

Clutching the valley-dishes,

Like a meeting of animals

And the animals were waiting for a miracle.

And a miracle came to the threshold

Squinted from the snow.

And a miracle made a snowball

And launched into the sky.

The snowball broke up into snowballs...

And that school drawing

I broke off pieces from the stars,

And it hurt, it hurt.

And a miracle, laughing merrily,

Candy sucked

Pushed me into the abyss,

But it didn't fall into the abyss.

Snow hit from the sky

The world trembled from the buzz.

There are no miracles in this world -

One thing, in general, a miracle!
