Theatre Of Tragedy is a Norwegian rock band formed in 1993 in Norway. The band is best known for its contributions to the gothic metal genre, although they have experimented with doom/death metal, industrial metal, and EBM at various points. The band's founder and primary composer was vocalist Раймонд Рохони . Their 1990s albums, featuring vocalist Лив Кристин became landmarks for the genre, popularizing "beauty and the beast" duets. In the mid-2000s, the band returned to gothic metal with new vocalist Нелл Сигланд . Theatre Of Tragedy finally disbanded in 2010, leaving a significant mark on the development of gothic metal.
