Der spiegel

In dem ich die schatten seh';

Das schwarze licht, welches mein schloß verschließt

Und draußen, der teufel und die schwarze hexe:

Singendes, tanzendes ihm verfallenes wesen

Hörst du denn nicht wie der wolf heult?!

Doch das blut sprengt meine adern —

Jeder strahl führt mich dem untergang näher:

Ich spühre, wie berauscht ich bin

Die sonne scheint nie wieder diesem spiegel

Der mond aber leuchtet meinem körper;

Staub — ich trinke das verfluchte wasser

Blut — ich liebte diesen rosengarten

Ich krieche durch diese spitzen dornen

Mein geist lebt in der dunkelheit —

Schwarz;

- das nichts;

- unendlich;

Erbe des bösen —

Gott klopft an meine tür

Und der spiegel

Zerbricht

The mirror

In which I see the shadows;

The black light that locks my lock

And outside, the devil and the black witch:

Singing, dancing creature addicted to him

Can't you hear the wolf howling?!

But the blood bursts through my veins —

Every ray leads me closer to doom:

I feel how intoxicated I am

The sun will never shine again in this mirror

But the moon shines on my body;

Dust — I drink the cursed water

Blood — I loved this rose garden

I crawl through these sharp thorns

My spirit lives in darkness—

Black;

- the nothing;

- infinite;

Heir of Evil —

God is knocking on my door

And the mirror

breaks
