Зимовье зверей (Winter Quarters of the Beasts) was a band from St. Petersburg, founded in 1994 by Konstantin Arbenin and Alexander Peterson. The band combined elements of Russian rock and original songs, making them unique in the Russian scene. The band disbanded in 2009, but in 2018, Konstantin Arbenin announced its reunion with a new lineup. Among Зимовья зверей well-known songs are "North Wind" and "Ships." Their work has had a significant influence on the development of the Russian rock genre, combining lyricism with philosophical depth.
