
Песняры is a Soviet and Belarusian vocal and instrumental ensemble founded in 1969 in Minsk under the direction of People's Artist of the USSR Владимира Мулявина . The group became one of the most famous representatives of the Russian pop genre, performing songs inspired by Belarusian folklore. Among their most popular compositions are " Косил Ясь конюшину ," " Белоруссия ," " Вологда ," " За полчаса до весны ," and " Беловежская пуща ." Песняры made a significant contribution to the popularization of Belarusian culture and folk music, becoming a symbol of an entire era in Soviet pop music.
