
Kurt Weill (1900–1950) was a German-born composer. He is best known for his collaboration with playwright Бертольтом Брехтом , which resulted in such iconic works as "Трехгрошовая опера" and the song "Mack the Knife" Weill work spanned the genres of world classics and soundtracks, and his work had a significant influence on musical theater. After emigrating to the United States in the 1930s, he continued writing for Broadway, creating music for productions such as "One Touch of Venus" . His contribution to the development of musical theater remains significant today.
