Bertolt Brecht (1898–1956) was a German playwright, poet, and art theorist born in Germany. His work spanned the genres of opera and world classics. Брехт became known for his theory of "epic theater," which transformed approaches to drama and theater. Among his most famous works is the libretto for The "Трехгрошовая опера" Opera, co-written with composer Куртом Вайлем . Брехт also founded the "Берлинер ансамбль" , which continues his tradition. His contribution to world classics and theater remains significant today.
