Nad rzeką olchowy gaj

Dar Boga dla człowieka

Wiatrem wędruje dzwon

Zrodzony w gliny grudzie

I oto ze wszystkich stron

Idą normalni ludzie

Mówią to, co mówili

Nikt ich za to nie gani

Myślą to, co myśleli

Nikt nie myśli za nich

I widzę jedno z miast

W jego mrówczej strukturze

W otwartym oknie blask

I drzwi otwarte w murze

Za drzwiami pokój, stół

Na ścianach starzy mistrzowie

Za stołem — jakbym czuł -

Siedzi normalny człowiek

I mówi to, co mówił

Wcale nie boi się tego

I myśli to, co myślał

I nie ma w tym nic złego

I widzę drogę w kres

Za koło horyzontu

Nie dziwiąc się, że tak jest

Jak powinno być od początku

Więc chwyta mnie jeden — z Nich

I w oczy drwiąco patrzy:

— Obudź się no, te — psych!

I daje mi zastrzyk

Potem, normalna rzecz

Do łóżka mnie przywiąże

Chciałbym znów zasnąć, lecz

Za snem — już nie nadążę

I see a normal country -

Birches, an orthodox church, a river

An alder grove by the river

God's gift to man

A bell wanders in the wind

A lump of clay

And here it is on all sides

Normal people are walking

They say what they said

Nobody is rebuking them for that

They think what they thought

Nobody thinks for them

And I can see one of the cities

In its ant structure

Shine in the open window

And the door opened in the wall

Behind the door is a room, a table

Old masters on the walls

Behind the table - as if I could feel -

Normal man is sitting

And I can see the way to the end
