W całym Kosmosie swą obecność

Oddam za ziemię niebezpieczną

Odstąpię ziemię z jej bogactwem

Za myśli jasne, choć niełatwe

Myśli wymienię, bo nienowe

Na niezużyte jeszcze słowa

Przeznaczę słów gatunek pierwszy

Na nieomylność moich wierszy

Odstąpię wierszy doskonałość

Za jedno ocalone ciało

Za ocaloną duszę w ciele…

Ale to wszystko tak niewiele…

It has its presence throughout the cosmos

I will give up for a dangerous land

I will give up the earth with its riches

For clear thoughts, though not easy

I will list my thoughts because they are not new

For words not yet used

I will dedicate the words to the first genre

For the infallibility of my poems

I will surrender my poems to perfection

For one body saved

For the saved soul in the body ...

But it's all so little ...
