Легко і ясно лежати з пробитими грудьми

В травах поплутаних, в росах на вогкій землі.

Так всевидюче-спокійний мій сон непробудний.

Брови розкинулись вільно на рівнім чолі.

Довго-бо йшли ми крізь доли, і гори, і кручі;

Світ не радів нам, упертим, бундючним і злим, —

Лінії завжди ламались суворо й рішуче,

Барви навколо лягли камінням важким,

Шкуру й волосся нам теж переситила барва.

Риси суворі на видах врізьбили бої.

…Легко і ясно лежати в поплутаних травах…

Трави і квіти візьмуть собі барви мої.

It is easy and clear to lie with a pierced chest

In the tangled grasses, in the dew on the damp ground.

So all-seeing and calm my sleep is awake.

Eyebrows spread freely on a straight forehead.

For a long time we walked through the valleys, and the mountains, and the cliffs;

The world did not please us, stubborn, rebellious and evil -

The lines have always been broken sternly and decisively,

The colors around were heavy stones,

Our skin and hair were also saturated with color.

Strict features on the species carved battles.

… Easy and clear to lie in tangled grass…

Herbs and flowers will take my colors.
