Кружатся листья,

кружатся в лад снежинкам:

Осень пришла, — темно и светло в лесах.

Светятся в листьях розовые прожилки,

Словно в бессонных

и утомленных глазах.

Летнюю книгу эти глаза читали,

Мелкого шрифта вынести не смогли

И различать во мгле предвечерней стали

Только большие — главные вещи земли.

Проносятся кругом цветные листы

на садом;

Глаза их прозрели,

да, только прозрели для тьмы.

Вьются снежинки,

кружатся листья рядом,

Реют

Верят

В пылкую дружбу зимы!

Падают листья

липы, дубов и клена…

Звездочки снега сыплются с высоты…

Если бы знать: насколько зимой стесненно

Или свободно лягут под снегом листы?

Если бы знать: какие им сны

приснятся?

Что нам готовит их потаенный слой?

Что им сподручней: сверху снегов

остаться

Или под снегом скрыться,

как жар под золой?

Танцуйте, танцуйте!

С холодным снежком

кружитесь,

Покуда снежинки так запросто с вами летят!

Только до срока

под ноги не ложитесь,

Чтобы

Не скрыла

Вьюга ваш яркий наряд!

Танцуйте, танцуйте!

Ведь это последний

танец!
