Method Man (real name Клиффорд Смит ) is an American rapper and actor born in 1971. He rose to prominence as a member of the East Coast rap group Wu-Tang Clan , one of the most influential hip-hop groups of the 1990s. Method Man also collaborated with rapper Redman as part of the duo Method Man & Redman . In 1996, he won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for the track "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By" recorded with singer Мэри Джей Блайдж . Method Man has had a significant influence on the development of hip-hop, particularly in the East Coast genre.
