Людмила Зыкина (1929–2009) was a Soviet and Russian singer who performed Russian folk songs, romances, and pop compositions. Originally from Moscow, she became one of the most renowned performers in the Russian pop genre. Зыкина received numerous awards, including the title Hero of Socialist Labor, the Lenin Prize, and the M. I. Glinka State Prize of the RSFSR. She also served as artistic director of the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble "Rossiya." Her repertoire included such well-known songs as "Течёт река Волга" Людмила Зыкина made a significant contribution to the preservation and popularization of Russian musical traditions.
