Лавіў усьмешкі сонца

У шосты дзень Эдэма,

Я быў амаль бясконцы,

Я быў амаль што небам.

Усё, ўто трэба, ведаў,

Ды крыкнула дарога:

«Каб быць Эдэма небам,

Спытай дазвол у Бога».

Сьвяточны ранак сёмы

Прыцішыў крыўды пекла,

Я быў амаль што вольны,

Я стаў амаль што ветрам.

Усё, што трэба, ведаў,

Ды крыкнула дарога:

«Усе вятры Эдэма

Пачаткам лічаць Бога».

Мною дыхала зямля —

Я змог!

Я спытаў у Бога: «Я —

Таксама Бог?»

У адказ бязгучны сьмех,

Чорт зь ім.

Першы чалавечы грэх

Стаў маім!

Я — пачатак і канец жывога на Зямлі.

Я настолькі Бог, наколькі Бог — Адам.
