Холодні далекі зірки тануть

У темній воді лісових озер,

Сонце, що котиться тропою богів

За чорніючі пагорби,

Вітер, що пестить неслухняну

Гриву польових трав —

Все зберігає мовчання,

Наче відчуває близьку загибель.

Туман укутає ліси

В передранкові сутінки,

Підніматиметься

Над мовчазною водою

До верховіття дерев.

Роси блищатимуть

На лугах в останній раз,

Зустрічаючи схід сонця.

Осінь зодягне холодні хащі

В потускніле золото,

Дощі змиють яскравість фарб…

Cold distant stars are melting

In the dark water of forest lakes,

The sun rolling down the path of the gods

For the blackening hills,

The wind that caresses the naughty

Mane of field grasses -

Everything remains silent,

As if feeling imminent death.

Fog envelops the forests

In the morning twilight,

It will rise

Above the silent water

To the tops of trees.
