Pablo Milanés (1943–2022) was a Cuban composer, poet, guitarist, and singer born in Havana, Cuba. He was one of the founders of the Nueva Trova musical movement, which combined traditional Cuban motifs with elements of jazz and pop. Pablo Milanés graduated from the Havana Conservatory of Music, which laid the foundation for his musical career. Among his most famous songs are "Yolanda" and "El Breve Espacio en Que No Estás" His work had a significant influence on the development of Latin American music, making him an iconic figure in the genre.
