Ajan aina öisin kiitolinjallain kun kerran tämän homman sattumalta sain,

On mulla raskas työ ja pitkä pitkä yö, kun ajan vain yölinjallain

On mulla kuormaa aina tonneittain ja tiukka vastuu aina aikatauluistain,

Myös yöllä kello käy ja määränpää ei näy kun ajan vain, yölinjallain

On mutka pimeässä aina arvoitus ja linjan pelastaa vain vaaran aavistus

Ja usein kiitotie niin liukas lie kun ajan vain, yölinjallain

Mä silmin väsynein näen kylän nukkuvan ja valon kiila leikkaa öiset maisemat

Vaan kunhan kesä saapuu on yötkin valoisaa ja laulan vain yölinjallain

Ei matkan mittavuus vaan vauhti hurman tuo, se vanha viisaus ei apuansa suo

Jos linja myöhästyy se ajurin nyt syö ja ajan vain yölinjallain

En usko tarinaa mut usein lohdun soi kun usvakuvasi sun tuulilasiin toi

Ja mikään lämmittää ei voinut enempää kun laahustan vain yölinjallain

Jos hetkeks nukahdan ja vauhti täysi on se matkan pää on silloin yhden kohtalo

Niin loppuu raskas yö mut jatkuu pitkä pitkä yö, taas ajan vain, yölinjallain

I always run at night on the line of gratitude once I got this thing by accident,

I have a hard job and a long long night when I only run the night line

I always have a load per tonne and strict responsibility for my schedules,

Even at night the clock is running and the destination is not visible when the time is just, the night line

There is a bend in the dark always a mystery and the line is saved only by a hint of danger

And often the runway is so slippery lie when I just run, on the night line

With my eyes tired I see the village asleep and the wedge of light intersects the night landscape

But as long as summer arrives, the nights are bright and I just sing the night line

It is not the scale of the journey but the pace that brings charm, that old wisdom does not help

If the bus is late it will now eat and drive only the night line

I don’t believe the story but often consolation rings when your fog picture brought the sun to the windshield

And nothing could warm up any more when I just drag the night line

If I fall asleep for a moment and the speed is full, then the end of the journey is the fate of one

So ends the heavy night but continues into the long long night, again with time only, the night line
