Danke für die lieben Briefe,

die ihr immer wieder schreibt.

Es tut gut, von euch zu hör'n,

dass ihr auf meinen Spuren bleibt.

Danke für die schönen Bilder,

sie zu sehen macht mich froh,

danke für die schlichte Karte

mit dem Satz: «Mach weiter so!»

Ich hab so manche Nacht

darüber nachgedacht

und immer mehr entdeckt,

was hinter diesen Worten für mich steckt.

«Weiter so» heißt neue Wege.

«Weiter so» heißt bleib nicht stehn.

«Weiter so» heißt immer wieder

unbeirrt nach vorne sehn.

«Weiter so» heißt sich verändern,

«weiter so» heißt bleib dir treu!

«Weiter so» heißt klare Ziele,

neuer Kurs und Schiff ahoi!

«Weiter so» heißt offen bleiben

für das Leben rings umher,

positive Lieder schreiben,

fällt es mir auch manchmal schwer.

«Weiter so» heißt jeden Morgen

ehrlich in den Spiegel sehn,

Jahre bleiben nicht verborgen,

und ich werd zu ihnen stehn.

«Weiter so» heißt weiter spielen,

keine Angst, ein Kind zu sein,

sich mit euch verbündet fühlen,

irgendwann war jeder klein.

«Weiter so» heißt weiter glauben,

dass sich jede Mühe lohnt,

Kindern nicht die Hoffnung rauben,

die im Haus von morgen wohnt.

«Weiter so» heißt weiter sagen,

dass wir nicht alleine sind

mit den großen Lebensfragen,

scheint die Welt auch taub und blind.

«Weiter so» heißt Fehler machen,

Sicherheit gibt’s nirgendwo,

will noch manche Glut entfachen,

Freunde, ich mach' weiter so.

I have so many nights

thought about it

and discovered more and more

what is behind these words for me.

“Keep it up” means new paths.

"Keep it up" means don't stand still.

"Keep it up" is always the same

look straight ahead.

“Keep it up” means to change,

"Keep it up" means stay true to yourself!

"Keep it up" means clear goals,

new course and ship ahoy!

“Keep it up” means staying open

for the life around

write positive songs

I find it difficult sometimes too.

"Keep it up" means every morning

look honestly in the mirror

years do not remain hidden,

and I will stand by them.

“Keep it up” means keep playing,

not afraid to be a child

feel allied with you,

at some point everyone was small.

"Keep it up" means keep believing

that every effort is worth it

Don't rob children of hope

who lives in the house of tomorrow.

that we are not alone

with the big questions of life

the world seems deaf and blind too.
