Der Champagner kalt gestellt,

alles ist bedacht — Silvesternacht,

und draußen glänzt der Schnee.

Ein neues Jahr steht vor der Tür,

das alte sagt ade, Zeit für

ein erstes Resümee.

Ich hab gelebt,

geliebt, geweint, gelacht,

hab manchen Traum

zur Wirklichkeit gemacht.

Und ich spür,

wie die Welt kurz innehält, still steht,

wenn das Jahr zu Ende geht.

Ich nahm so manchen Sturz in Kauf,

doch nur, um dann wieder aufzustehn,

ein neues Ziel zu sehn.

Tag für Tag verging das Jahr,

zog im Flug vorbei, es wird Zeit,

sich noch mal umzudrehn.

stand vor dem Nichts

und wurde wieder neu geborn.

Jetzt steh ich hier

und ich fühle, wie der Sturm sich legt,
