doch keiner hier drinnen

kann der Magie entrinnen.

Beglückte Gesichter

im Meer der Farben und Lichter,

bestaunen den Trubel,

Applaus, Getrampel und Jubel.

Ein Schaukeln und Springen,

alles scheint zu gelingen,

doch ein Griff daneben —

zurück ins irdische Leben.

Willkommen im Zirkus …

Der Clown auf der Leiter

will hoch hinaus, immer weiter,

er greift nach den Sternen,

die sich nur weiter entfernen.

Dem Löwenbezwinger

genügt ein Wink mit dem Finger,

er zeigt keine Schwächen —

es könnte sich rächen.

Willkommen im Zirkus …

Sie leben ihr Leben,

wie Engel, die schweben,

wie stürmische Reiter,

der Zirkus geht weiter.
