Огоньки

На другой стороне

Озера остывшего,

Словно бусинки вкруг-

Желтые огни.

Как мерцающий снег,

Из когда-то бывшего

В синей дымке плывут

Сквозь года они.

Сквозь апрель голубой,

Через лед подтаявший,

Мне до этих огней

Далеко еще.

Ни моею судьбой,

Ни моих товарищей

Не открыт для потерь

Персональный счет.

Нас потом понесет,

Как по льду поземкою,

Через дым тусклых дней

Над теченьем лет.

Но всегда в Новый год

За блестящей елкою

Будет чудиться мне

Тот далекий свет.

И хотя в нас живут

Лаптевы и беринги,

Не дано нам узнать —

Далеко ли плыть.

Нас еще очень ждут

И на этом береге,

Нам еще надо стать,

А потом уж быть.

On the other side

Lakes of the cooled

Like beads all around

Yellow lights.

Like shimmering snow

From what once was

Floating in the blue haze

Through the years they

Through April blue

Melted through the ice

I care about these lights

Still far.

Not my fate

Not my comrades

Not open to losses

Personal account.

Then it will carry us

Like ground on ice,

Through the smoke of dim days

Over the course of years.

But always in the New Year

Behind the shiny tree

I will wonder

That distant light

And although they live in us

Laptevs and Berings,

It is not given to us to know -

Is it far to swim?

We are still waiting

And on this shore

We still need to become

And then to be.
