Ab und zu dann denk ich mir

Wär was anderes passiert

Säßen wir dann nur vielleicht noch immer hier?

Mit den Angeln in der Hand

Um uns Wüste, weites Land

Oh wir wollten so gern große Fische fangen

Ich will so wieder leben

Alle Zweifel ertränkt in Übermut

Es hat sich nicht ergeben

Und ich mag nicht wenn du sagst es geht dir gut

Manches Mal dann lieg ich wach

Kann nicht schlafen, denke nach

Wenn du hier wärst, spielten wir dann wieder Schach?

Hätten eigentlich keine Lust

Doch haben nichts besseres gewusst

Bis es Zeit war bis zum nächsten großen Kuss

Ich will so wieder leben…

Ab und zu dann lach ich still

In mich rein denn wenn ich will

Seh ich uns auf diesem alten morschen Floß

Damit trieben wir davon

Konnten nie genug bekommen

Kein Gedanke an den langen Weg zurück

With fishing rods in hand

All doubts drowned in high spirits

It didn't turn out

Didn't really want to

Until it was time for the next big kiss

Now and then I laugh silently

Inside me because if I want

I see us on this rotten old raft

With that we drifted away

Couldn't get enough

No thought of the long way back
