Drei Tage ohne Schlaf, ich lieg' im grellen Neonlicht

Nimm mich mit irgendwohin, doch bitte frag mich nicht

Wo ich zuhaus' bin, ich weiß nur: bestimmt nicht hier

Wo wir alle dumm rumsteh' n, in schweren Stiefeln der Realität

In denen man, wenn überhaupt, immer nur kleine Schritte geht

Nimm mich mit irgendwohin, dann lass ich sie zurück

Nimm mich raus aus den Abgründen der Stadt

Irgendwo ist das Schöne, auch heute Nacht

Und ich tanze in Gedanken, dort wo es mir gefällt

Barfuß auf den Straßen am Ende dieser Welt

Und auf den Eisenbahnbrücken ins Nichts

Nur nicht hier

Wo wir alle dumm rumsteh' n und zuseh' n wie zerlumpte Clowns

Ihre eignen Schatten jagen, es macht Spaß ihnen zuzuschaun

Bis irgendwer behauptet, es ist alles Spiegelglas und wir sind das

Nimm mich raus…

Und ich kann sie wieder spüren- die blinde Euphorie

Nicht zu wissen was passiert, ohne Angst, dass man verliert

Where we all stand around stupidly, in heavy boots of reality

In which one only takes small steps, if at all

Take me out of the depths of the city

Somewhere is the beauty, even tonight

And I dance in my thoughts where I like it

Barefoot on the streets at the end of this world

And on the railway bridges to nothing

Just not here

Where we all stand around and watch like ragged clowns

Chasing their own shadows, it's fun to watch them

Until someone claims it's all mirror glass and that's us

And I can feel it again - the blind euphoria

Not knowing what's going to happen without fear of losing

Take me somewhere, I don't have to go back either
