Und ein Jahr ist um, und ich stehe wieder hier am Strand

Und ich schaue aufs Meer, und ich denk wieder daran

Wie klein sind wir doch auf dieser Welt

Und ich schau in die Sterne

Und ich frage mich, was wirklich zählt

Und ich frage micht, liegt es irgendwie am Meer?

Oder liegt es am Rotwein … ich weiß es nicht

Aber jedesmal, wenn ich so in die Ferne blicke

Fühl ich mich riesig und doch unendlich klein

Fühl mich großartig und doch furchtbar allein

How small we are in this world

And I wonder what really matters

And I wonder, is it somehow because of the sea?

Or is it the red wine... I don't know

But every time I look into the distance

I feel huge and yet infinitely small

Feeling great and yet terribly alone
