Kevers lieten rond jouw ogen

mijn vriendin hun sporen na:

honderdtwintig cirkelbogen,

't cijfer zeven en de ka.

Vele jaren zijn verstreken,

groen is nu je koude mond.

Noodweer doet je oog al breken,

wind fluit in je neusgat rond.

En wat jij denkt ben ik niet bij machte

te doorzien, maar op een dag

gaat de kist van jouw gedachte

open met een luide slag.

Dan zijn jouw zoete dromen

voor een ieder te verstaan,

dan zal je geest naar buiten stromen,

als drijfgas uit je gaan.
