Einfallende Horden - Bodo Wartke

Die Leute damals im Mittelalter,

die hatten echt voll keine Mittel, Alter,

drum sind viele von denen auch Mitglied geworden

bei den sogenannten einfallenden Horden.

Die einfallenden Horden fielen im Allgemeinen

in wehrlose Städte und Dörfer ein.

Und man muss sagen: Die einfallenden Horden

sind dabei nicht selten ausfallend geworden.

Das fanden die Bürger natürlich gemein

und sagten: «Hey Horden!

Was fällt euch ein?!

Ich mein' ihr schlagt hier alles kurz und klein,

schickt uns in die Sklaverei rein …

Muss das sein?

Was soll denn das?

Macht euch das irgendwie Spaß?!

Oder was?!»

Da sagten die Horden: «Ja.

Plündern und Morden

ist ja nun mal der Job von uns einfallenden Horden.

Das heißt ja nicht, dass wir das auch wollen.

Wir wissen halt nicht, was wir sonst machen sollen.»

Dieses zeigt, dass das Vorurteil stimmt,

dass einfallende Horden recht einfältig sind.

Im Osten, im Westen, im Süden und Norden

gab es damals einfallende Horden.

Sie kommen auch heute von hier und von da,

z.B. aus Nordamerika.

Heute wie damals im Mittelalter

gab’s gegen die Horden kein Mittel, Alter.

This shows that the prejudice is correct

that invading hordes are quite simple-minded.

In the east, in the west, in the south and in the north

there were invading hordes back then.

They come today from here and from there,

e.g. from North America.

Today as then in the Middle Ages

there was no remedy against the hordes, old man.
