Du fängst an zu motieren,

auf einmal wächst dir feines Haar an

ungeahnten Körperstellen, wo zuvor noch keines war.

Und deine Haut ist am blühen und gedeihen.

Es ist nicht leicht ein Teenager zu sein!

Dein Eltern, die du früher mochtest

findest du plötzlich alt und hohl.

Du fängst mit dem Rauchen an,

mit Kiffen und mit Alkohol.

Es schmeckt zum Kotzen,

trotzdem zwängst du’s dir rein.

Es ist nicht leicht ein Teenager zu sein!

Zum ersten Mal

verliebst du dich

doch der Partner deiner Wahl

sich in dich natürlich nicht — Na toll!

Du brauchst jetzt teure Markenkleidung

und ganz besonders dringend so’n

Handy wie’s die Anderen haben

und stets den neusten Klingelton.

Das kostet dich im Monat mehr als ein dicken Schein.

Es ist echt teuer ein Teenager zu sein!

Von all den Alten nimmt dich keiner richtig Ernst,

sie sagen: Werd erstmal erwachsen und Zeit das du was lernst!
