Googoosh (real name Фаиге Атешин ) is an Iranian singer and actress, born on May 5, 1950. In the 1970s, she became one of Iran's most popular performers and actresses, also gaining fame in Turkey, the Caucasus, the United States, and Central Asia. In the USSR Googoosh gained popularity thanks to the film "The Long Night." Her work spans pop and oriental music, and her songs remain iconic for generations. Googoosh has made a significant contribution to the development and popularization of Iranian musical culture on the international stage.
