No kjem den fagre våren

Den kjem så altfor seint

No går eg opp til Bård'en

Og spør kva som er meint

Med at vi stadig går med skjerf

Og lue her vi går

Det er jo mildt i lufta

Og er det ikkje vår?

Vi slenger allting av oss

Spring ganske lett omkring

Snart blir vi voldsomt sjuke

Men det gjer ingenting

Då får vi liggje heime

Og mase litt på mor

Og er det fleire av oss

Så masar vi i kor;

«Å, gi oss sjokolade

Og kjærlighet på pinne!

Brei dyna godt om kring oss

Og klapp oss litt på kinnet!

Fortel ei nifs forteljing

Og slepp inn hund og katt!

Så blir vi sikkert friske

Og kan gå på skulen att!»

And let the dog and cat in!
