Kuolleille kirjoitan nämä sanat.

Kuulen

Pimeydessä huutonne, näen valossa hahmonne

Niin monta teistä jouduin hautaamaan ja

Maasta kaivamaan.

Juoksen kohti tuntematonta

Ehkä kohtaan vielä jonkun teistä, vaikka tiedän

Että matkamme on päättynyt.

Kuulen veden

Virtaavan, pesen siinä kasvoni.

To the Dead I write these words.

In the

Darkness I hear your screams, in the light I see

Your figures.

So many of you I had to bury and

Dig up from the ground.

I’m running towards the

Unknown.

Perhaps I will yet meet some of you

Although I know our journey has come to an end

I hear the water flowing, I wash my face in it

May this be my gift to you

I write these words to the dead.

I hear

In the darkness your cry, I see your character in the light

So many of you had to bury and

Dig from the ground.

I run towards the unknown

Maybe I’m still facing one of you, even though I know

That our journey is over.

I hear water

Flowing, I wash my face in it.

Let it be
