Затянет небо тенью серых туч,

И померкнет свет дневной.

В сиянье молний средь темных горных круч

Пролетит орел седой

Он будет дерзок, страшен и могуч,

Доволен собой

Как просто по звездам путь

Отыскать во мгле.

Отважным не каждый быть

Может на земле.

Расправив крылья, в небе он парил,

С высоты бросая взгляд,

И был ему белый свет не мил,

А ночь — во сто крат.

Ветрам на зло летел, что было сил,

Не зная преград.

Средь молний, как вольный Бог,

В тучах он летал.

Всех смелых на деле ждут

Боль и высота.

Как странно линии судьбы переплелись.

И дома за стеклом

Через окно ты молча смотришь вниз,

Мечтая стать орлом.

Мечтаешь, но знаешь,

Так будешь вечно ждать.

Лишь птица стремится ввысь

Небо побеждать.

Без боя с собою —

Мрак, и куда бы ни шел,

Знай, где-то в рассвете

Есть тот степной орел…
