Known for his work in traditional jazz, he gained prominence as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and his collaborations with John Coltrane, including the iconic album "Blue Train". Fuller released numerous albums as a bandleader, such as "The Opener" and "Blues-ette", which are considered classics in the genre. His lyrical trombone style and contributions to hard bop left a lasting impact on jazz. Fuller’s career spanned decades, solidifying his place as a key figure in jazz history.
