Danke - Wise Guys

Das hier ist für die Politiker, die das, was sie versprechen,

so meinen, wie sie’s sagen und auch nach der Wahl nicht brechen,

die ihren Job, so, wie geplant, als Dienst am Staat verstehn,

die, wenn sie Scheiße bau’n, nicht lamentieren, sondern gehn.

Das hier ist für alle Journalisten, die gerecht berichten,

sachlich, fair und ohne Existenzen zu vernichten,

die keine Lügen schreiben und auch keine Hetzparolen,

die sich ihre Infos nicht durch Schlüssellöcher holen:

Ihr seid wie die Oase, die uns in der Wüste kühlt

In der Hoffnung, dass sich irgend jemand angesprochen fühlt

Das is fuer alle Superstars, die sich nicht davor drücken,

Jahr für Jahr korrekt die Steuerkohle rauszurücken,

die abund zu was Gutes tun mit ihren -zig Millionen

und die uns ansonsten vom privaten Müll verschonen.

Das ist fuer die Top-Manager, die ganz zurecht so heißen,

weil sie lieber kämpfen, anstatt Leute rauszuschmeißen,

die auf die Umwelt achten und das nicht nur einfach sagen,

die wirklich in der Lage sind, Verantwortung zu tragen:

Wir danken auch dem kleinen Mann, der neidlos akzeptiert,

dass ein viel größ'rer Gartenzwerg des Nachbarn Garten ziert,

der sich ganz bestimmt nie über Kinderlärm beschwert,

und der in bester Laune vor der eig’nen Haustür kehrt:

This is for the politicians who deliver what they promise

mean as they say it and don't break it even after the election,

who understand their job, as planned, as a service to the state,

who, when they mess up, don't complain, but leave.

This is for all journalists who report fairly,

factual, fair and without destroying livelihoods,

who write no lies and no inflammatory slogans,

who don't get their information through keyholes:

You are like the oasis that cools us in the desert

In the hope that someone feels addressed

This is for all superstars who don't shy away from

Correctly handing out the tax charcoal year after year,

who occasionally do something good with their tens of millions

and who otherwise spare us from private rubbish.

This is for the top managers, who rightly call themselves that

'Cause they'd rather fight than kick people out

who care about the environment and don't just say so,

who are really capable of taking responsibility:

We also thank the little man who ungrudgingly accepts

that a much larger garden gnome adorns the neighbor's garden,

who certainly never complains about children's noise,

and who sweeps in front of his own front door in the best of moods:
