Die Nachbarn werden sagen:

'Es tut uns schrecklich Leid'.

Die Polizei wird nach uns fragen,

aber keiner weiß Bescheid.

Wenn das hier ein Kinofilm wär'

würd' ich aus dem Kino renn’n,

aber wenn wir das jetzt durchziehn,

wird uns nichts mehr jemals trenn’n.

Total nervös und trotzdem froh —

ich glaub', es geht dir ebenso.

Wir lassen alles liegen,

was uns noch im Wege steht.

Das viel zu alte Cabrio

hat immerhin ein Radio.

Das fällt bald auseinander,

aber Hauptsache es geht:

und dreh richtig laut auf

wir fahren durch den Sommerregen

der Sonne entgegen.

wir fahr’n immer weiter raus

einfach immer geradeaus,

wie sich die Wolken wegbewegen

Wer hätte das von uns gedacht?

Ohne Dach und ohne Karte

geht’s mit Vollgas durch die Nacht.

Es gibt nichts, was ich erwarte.

Wenn du mich lässt,

nehm ich dich nicht nur in den Arm.

Total durchnässt,

doch der Regen ist ganz warm.

Without a roof and without a map

it's full throttle through the night.
