I fjärran bortom djupa skogar

Ur den mark där nässlor gror

Reser sig ett slott mot månen

Slottet där de dödas själar bor…

Den dystert svarta muren utav

Vittrad marmor ännu står

Stark såsom den alltid stått sig

Genom tusenden av år…

Andar ropar till varandra

Det är döda själar som

Tagit natten i besittning

Här i slottet Auragon…

Nattens djur har här sin hemvist

Tistlar bor i mörka vrår

Spindlars väv klär tak och väggar

Fönster gapar såsom öppna sår…

Aldrig kysser morgonrodnad

Slottets tinnar eller torn

Här har natten ingen ände

Här har Mörkrets Drott sin tron

In the distance beyond deep forests

From the soil where nettles grow

A castle rises against the moon

The castle where the souls of the dead live…

The gloomy black wall outside

Weathered marble still stands

Strong as it has always stood

Through thousands of years…

Spirits shout to each other

It's dead souls like

Taken possession of the night

Here in Auragon Castle…

The animals of the night have their home here

Thistles live in dark corners

Spider webs weave ceilings and walls

Windows gape like open wounds…

Never kiss dawn

The pinnacles or towers of the castle

Here the night has no end

Here the Lord of Darkness has his throne
