Ich träumt ich säß im Sonnenschein

Und wusch mit Nichts Gedanken rein

Dass jeder leicht wie Federn wog

Und taumelnd bald gen Himmel flog

Ich träumt, dass einer dick und schwer

Mich heimlich fragt, wie es wohl wär

Wenn ich durch Schlafes Pforte ging

Und drüben sucht den Neubeginn

Ich träumt ich säß am Wasserlauf

Und hob vom Grund Ideen auf

Polier gar jede blitz und blank

Wie Sterne Leuchten sie zum Dank

Ich träumt, dass solch eine Idee

Mich fragt, ob dort, wohin ich geh

Käm Freude in der Dunkelheit

Den Geistesblitzen zum Geleit

Ich greif sie auf in jenem Traum

Ich schleich hinaus aus diesem Traum

Ich gleit hinüber, merk es kaum

Ich bin ein Traumtänzer
