Ich kam des Wegs und seh' Dich sitzen,

und wo Du auch noch sitzen wirst, wenn ich

Deine Augen schau’n mich müde an,

völlig ausgelaugt und leer.

Bist ausrangiert schon viel zu lang,

Der Anblick macht mich traurig,
