Als Du ein Baby warst,

war ich so stolz auf dich,

ich glaub, ich hab der ganzen Welt erzählt,

dass du ein Wunder warst für mich.

Du lerntest krabbeln und auf eignen Füßen stehn,

ich nahm dich an die Hand und hab versucht,

die Welt auf deine Art zu sehn.

Du wurdest größer,

hattest deinen eignen Kopf,

aus deiner Sicht erkannte ich die Dinge neu

und manchen alten Zopf.

Ich hab das Singen und das Spielen neu entdeckt,

das Streiten und Versöhnen

und die Zauberkraft,

die nur in Kindern steckt.
