Gli ippopotami vivono: e sono molto contenti

A fotografarli mostrano tutti i denti

E dimenano i sedere

Oggi molto più di ieri

Gli ippopotami ti sorridono volentieri.

Si racconta che un tempo eran pallidi ed impulsivi

Ma era il tempo che c’erano i buoni e i cattivi

I più vecchi ogni tanto

Rimpiangono la fanghiglia

I più giovani stanno benissimo in famiglia

Gli ippopotami non hanno pensieri ma sembrano meditare

E si dicono tutti che ogni ippopotamo è uguale

Anche tra loro c'è chi suda

Chi scende e chi sale

Ma un ippopotamo vero resta normale
