Som polstjärnan på himlen som hjälper en i land

Så råkades två stjärnor i rymdens oändlighet;

Två tynande lanternor på havets ödslighet

Och den som börjat stelna, och trotsa kärleken

Befruktas till att leva och älska själv igen

Så vill jag bli som Solen som värmer dina ben

Som luften och som Jorden;

som livet dom dej ger

Så vill jag bli som regnet, när vägen din känns hård

Och kunna fukta marken framför dej där du går

An icy, autumnal wind blew inside me
