Que se pressente na paixão que trago em mim

Que transparece lamentos

Da minha voz sem te ver

Que me recorda um amor

E não mo deixa esquecer

É sempre calma, ou quase sempre a despedida

É sempre breve, ou quase sempre, a solidão

E é esta calma que destrói a nossa vida

E nada é breve nas coisas do coração

Que assim me arrasta e que me faz viver na margem

De um rio grande onde navegam os meus ais

E onde a vida não é mais que uma viagem
