On tuuli vienyt lehdet pois

Ja aivan niinkuin harput sois

Kun neonkäärmeet yössä liikahtaa

Nyt karnevaalit voidaan aloittaa…

On häkkiin pantu ihminen

Hän liikkuu lailla kissojen

Ja maksusta hän tekee mitä vain;

Ei yleisöstään poikkea hän lain…

Hän lampaan elävältä syö

Ja hengiltä myös härän lyö

Hän yleisölleen luita heittelee…

Ja toiset tyydytystään peittelee!

Nyt taikurimme näyttäytyy

Hän taitavasti käyttäytyy;

Hän sahaa viisi naista kahtia…

Me innoissamme lyömme tahtia!

Ja mustalainen ennustaa

Ken mitä, missä, milloin saa

Ja toiset uskoo, toiset epäilee…

Ja kyynelsilmin klovnit pelleilee

Niin kohta koittaa keskiyö

Taas amazoni kongiin lyö

Ja kääpiöt käy portit sulkemaan;

Ei kukaan pääse ulos kulkemaan…

Nyt lyökää, syökää, ampukaa!

Nyt hulluudesta nauttikaa

Ja lapset karuselliin kantakaa!

Ja Frälssikselle lantti antakaa…
