K. D. si svegliò quel mattino e guardò le cose accanto a lei

Gli occhi ancor velati dalle briciole dei sogni

Mentre il sonno scompariva accanto a lei lentamente

Il sonno scompariva accanto a lei…

K. D. si affacciò alla finestra, vide il mondo solito ad di là:

Svaniva il suo orizzonte sulla ruggine del ponte

Dove il fiume scompariva e la città finiva

Dove il fiume scompariva…

K. D. non seppe mai dire che sensazione la prese

Sentì il suo corpo svanire, le braccia eran ali rapprese

Pianse qualcuno lontano che forse non conosceva

Ed il suo pianto pian piano quell’orizzonte scioglieva…

Ma poi sorrise, sorpresa di quella stupida ebbrezza

Il suo orizzonte tornato reale

Le dava la solita sua sicurezza

Solita sua sicurezza…

Quando anche noi qualche volta ci sentiam tristi per niente

Forse c'è K. D. che piange lontana

Fantasma che è in noi e ci accompagna per sempre

Che ci accompagna per sempre

Che ci accompagna per sempre!

K. D. woke up that morning and looked at things beside her

Her eyes still veiled by the crumbs of dreams

As sleep disappeared beside her slowly

Sleep disappeared beside her ...

K. D. looked out the window, saw the usual world beyond:

He vanished his horizon of hers on the rust of the bridge

Where the river disappeared and the city ended

Where the river disappeared ...

K. D. never knew how he felt about her

She felt her body fade away, her arms were curled wings

She cried for someone far away that she maybe she didn't know

And his cry of hers slowly melted that horizon ...

But then she smiled, surprised at that stupid intoxication

Her horizon has become real again

She gave her her usual confidence

Her usual security of her ...

When we too sometimes feel sad for nothing

Maybe there is K. D. crying far away

Ghost that is in us and accompanies us forever

That she accompanies us forever

That accompanies us forever!
