The doe breaks the ice on the frozen lake

A snow mist hides the sun

The dark of the night will grow stronger

And winter has begun

Shall I stay and wait out the bitter cold

Shall I travel to warmer climes

As I watch the geese fly to their winter home

I will think on fonder times
