Steh alleine in ner Kneipe unten am Hafen

Trink nen Bier das eher nach Spülwasser schmeckt

Welch ein Tag, den hätt besser verschlafen

Plötzlich steht ein Kerl wie ein Schrank in der Tür

Mit nem Grinsen als ob der Mond aufgeht

Hey Kinder Eddie ist wieder hier

Und Eddie pflanzt sich auf den Platz neben mir

Erzählt aus seinem Leben, so mal eben

Zwei Jahre Bau für nix und wieder nix

Die Bonzen leben, wie die Maden im Speck

Und wir quälen uns einen ab hier im Dreck

Und irgendwann ist das Leben dann um

In Bali — am Palmenstrand

Jawohl wir könnten längst in Bali leben

Statt dessen stehen wir auf dem Arbeitsamt Schlange

Die da oben, die halten uns wohl für dumm

Und dann ballt er seine Schaufelbaggerhände

Und kommt dabei ganz bedrohlich in Fahrt

Ooh man mir wird allmählich echt bange

Und nach dem zehnten Korn erklärt mir Eddie

Ich sag dir was, todsicherer Tipp

Das bringt das Kleingeld für den großen Trip

Und Eddie öffnet seine Jacke

Und zeigt mir ne Knarre

Und sagt wir gehen einfach in die nächst beste Bank

Einmal kräftig hinlangen und dann sind wir weg

Und die Kneipe wird jetzt voller und Eddie wird lauter

Trink aus und dann holen wir uns was uns zusteht

Eddie meint er muss noch kurz seinen Wasserspiegel senken

Und schwankt in Richtung Klo davon

S schnell war ich noch nie aus ner Kneipe raus

And Eddie plants himself in the seat next to me
