Nimmst das Fernsehprogramm

Und knipst den Kasten an

Da gibt’s ne Sondersendung

Da bist du live dabei

Wenn der Deich bricht

Du machst dir grad’n Bier auf

Und nimmst’n tiefen Schluck —

Da siehst du wie der Vorhang sich bewegt!

Plötzlich hörst du ein Heulen

Dann ein Krachen und ein Klirren

Und alles fängt sich an zu drehn

Da fliegt die Zeitung, die Lampe

Der Teppich, die Vase —

Das ganze Zimmer hebt ab!

Du stehst mitten im Orkan

Dein Fisch im Aquarium hüpft schon vor Freude

Einen Augenblick später

Hast du’n paar Bretter

Und nagelst das Leck dicht!

Und du schaust aus dem Fenster raus

Dein Auto vor der Tür ist nicht mehr da

Das Nachbarhaus ist nicht mehr da

There you are live

When the dike breaks

You're opening a beer

And take a deep sip —

There you see how the curtain moves!

There the newspaper flies, the lamp

The carpet, the vase —

The whole room takes off!

Your fish in the aquarium is already jumping for joy
