Ich war auf dieser Erde

Von Anfang an dabei

Ich schlüpfte eines Morgens

Aus einem winzigen Ei Die Sonne war ein Ball aus Blut

Und Drachen tanzten am Strand

Ich wurde von ihnen gefressen

Bevor ich was zu fressen fand

Doch ich kam immer wieder

In anderer Gestallt

Oft nur für einen Tag

Manchmal wurde ich uralt

Ich war ein Schmetterling

Eein Affe und ein Wal

Und eines Tages, trat ich

Mit anderen Menschen ins Tal

Eine Ewigkeit unterwegs

Auf der Suche nach dir

Noch einmal um die Welt

Dann komme ich zu dir

Stehe vor deiner Tür

Ich bin schon eine Ewigkeit unterwegs

Bei Cleopatras Sklaven

Und auf spanischen Galeeren

Bei Attilas Horden

Und in Napoleons Heeren

Ich sah Städte bis in den Himme

Siege und Triumph

Tanz auf dem Vulkane

Und wieder hinunter in den Sumpf

Eine Ewigkeit unterwegs

Auf der Suche nach dir

Noch einmal um die Welt

Dann komme ich zu dir

Stehe vor deiner Tür

Ich bin schon eine Ewigkeit unterwegs

Milliarden von Menschen

Leben mlliardenmal

Gehen zurück in die Wälder

Und kommen wieder ins Tal

Leben und Leben lassen

Bis zum jüngsten Gericht

Und einer der davon kommt

Macht ein Leibesgedicht

I hatched one morning

From a tiny egg The sun was a ball of blood

And dragons danced on the beach

I got eaten by them

Before I found anything to eat

But I kept coming back

In a different shape

Often just for a day

Sometimes I got old

i was a butterfly

A monkey and a whale

And one day, I entered

With other people in the valley

An eternity on the way

Searching for you

Around the world again

Then I'll come to you

Stand in front of your door

I've been traveling for ages

With Cleopatra's slaves

And on Spanish galleys

At Attila's hordes

And in Napoleon's armies

I saw cities in the sky

victories and triumphs

Dance on the volcano

And back down into the swamp

An eternity on the way

Searching for you

Around the world again

Then I'll come to you

Stand in front of your door

I've been traveling for ages

billions of people

live a billion times

Go back to the woods

And come back to the valley

Live and let live

Until the Last Judgment

And one that comes from it

Make a body poem
