Воплі Відоплясова is a Ukrainian rock band founded in 1986 in the USSR. The band's leader is vocalist Олег Скрипка . The band is considered the founder of Ukrainian rock 'n' roll and ethno-rock, combining traditional folk motifs with the energy of rock music. Among their most famous songs are "Весна" and "Танці" , which have become iconic in Ukrainian musical culture. Воплі Відоплясова toured extensively both in the former Soviet Union and abroad, popularizing Ukrainian music. Their contribution to the development of ethno-rock has made them a landmark band in the genre.
