Richard Bonynge is an Australian conductor and pianist, born September 29, 1930. He is known for his contributions to world classical music and jazz. Bonynge was the husband of the renowned Australian dramatic coloratura soprano Джоан Сазерленд , with whom he collaborated throughout her career. From 1962 until Сазерленд retirement in 1990, he conducted virtually all of her opera performances. Bonynge also recorded numerous works that have become benchmarks in classical music. His work made a significant contribution to the popularization of opera and classical music in the 20th century.
